Who We Are

Since 1990, Black Cypress owner Les Targonski has been immersed in live music and concert production. While spending nearly two decades as an audio mixer for multiple touring artists, production houses and live music venues, his attention to detail afforded him positions as a tour manager, stage manager and production manager. In 2011, Les joined the team at Danny Wimmer Presents, overseeing all aspects of production and site operations. As festivals grew in size and frequency, his focus was shifted to Director of Production and Logistics, where he remained full-time until December 2020. The new year brought new ideas and new ventures, which resulted in the birth of Black Cypress, a full service event management firm to serve the live event industry with the professionalism and attention to detail that every project deserves.
